NetBSD 6.0_RC1 on Mac Book Pro (2009mid)

以前に使用していて、一時は自宅のデスクトップ代わりにもなっていた、Mac Book Pro (2009mid)でNetBSD/amd64 6.0_RC1を起動してみました。

きちんとインストールしたわけではなくて、インストール用メディアで起動してみただけです。

補足

  • 実際には、起動時にACPIを無効にする必要がありました。
  • 無線LAN以外の殆どのデバイスは認識できているようです。
  • 起動可能なNetBSD 6.0_RC1のCDなメディアは、Mac OS X上で一旦認識した上で再起動しないと、Optionキーを押し続けて表示される起動先のデバイスに現れませんでした。

今後

ちょっとした操作の誤りでパーティション情報を完全にふっ飛ばしました。初版の事情もあり、一旦ディスクドライブの内容を完全に消去する作業に入りましたので、続きは当面ありません。

追記

補足の最後の項目は単純な理由で、

  1. 電源ON
  2. CD-ROMドライブの電源オン → メディアの回転
  3. メディアの内容をEFI(Extensible Firmware Interface)が読んで確認
  4. ブート可能なことがわかった時点でブートマネージャーに表示

と、いうわけで単に「待て!」で良かったということでした。いや〜、Mac Book Proで光学メディアからの起動なんて実に経験少ないですから。
